As soon as you visit this website you grant MARIN permission to gather your personal data, both directly (true the personal data you provide on our request) and indirectly. MARIN deems it vital that the data you provide are treated with the greatest possible care and security. Therefore we will only use these personal data in accordance with the purposes and the other data processing methods as described in this statement  and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. Which data will be processed?

All the data you enter and provide in the attachments you append. MARIN gathers and processes no sensitive information such as data concerning race or ethnic background, political, religious or philosophical convictions, any membership of a trade union, nor disclose health of sexual information. If sensitive information has to be gathered due to certain circumstances, MARIN will first request your express permission to do this. It should be noted that if you do supply MARIN with sensitive information unsolicited, you thus permit MARIN to use this for recruitment purposes.

Purposes of data processing

MARIN uses your personal data to facilitate a proper, effective and efficient recruitment and selection process. We gather and processes personal data from both open application and applications for existing vacancies. MARIN processes you personal data purely for recruitment purposes, which are: to compare vacancies, for communication about the recruitment and selection procedures, to pass on information to applicants about other relevant vacancies. By ‘processing’ is meant gathering, registering, storing, organising, transferring, modifying, amending, searching, consulting, using, announcing through sending, disseminating or otherwise, comparing, blocking, destroying and erasing recruitment information.

Storage period

MARIN stores the data of applicants during the recruitment and selection procedure. After which MARIN stores the personal data only to the extent that MARIN is legally obliged to do so.

MARIN may also store your personal data if there is a ‘business need’ to retain these data for keeping the personal data of the applicant in the event that an appropriate vacancy arises. The law relating to the storing of data is always consulted and complied. Once the period for the retention has been exceeded, these are completely removed from the system.

No use of data by third parties

MARIN will in no circumstances make your data available to third parties, nor will the data be sold.

Technical security

In order to optimally secure your personal data against unauthorised access or use, MARIN makes use of the very latest security technology. Access to your data is restricted to the MARIN personnel involved in the MARIN recruitment, who are obliged to respect the privacy of applicants and to keep confidential the data of applicants.
